PROGRAMS - CHARLOTTE RE-ENTRY

  We conduct Life Transformation Classes at the Charlotte County Jail, in Punta Gorda, Florida. Separate classes for women and men are conducted, consisting of 8 week semesters, leading up to a certificate graduation.

Faith based topics include life skills, personal responsibility, the importance of work, needs and skills assessments, and a life plan upon release.

We work with over 50 inmates at the Charlotte County Correctional Institution, located south of Punta Gorda, Florida. Classes include:

• Character and Faith Building (a 2 year curriculum)
• Legacy Mentoring (continuous)
• Addiction Recovery (continuous)
• Re-Entry (lifeskills, personal finance, outside support in preparation for release.into the community

We offer mentoring to not only those releaased from incarceraion,, but also to those seeking guidance as they re-enter the community from addiction and homelessness.

We are convening a group of community leaders to embark on a project to build and operate an Extended Term Recovery Residence.  Here,all of those impacted by addicition will be offered housing of up to a year as well as the tools to get their life back on track, find meaningful employment, and generally prepare to be contributing members of the community.

Through our partner relationships, we can offer guidance to connect with other service organizations, regarding housing, counnseling, training, and employment.
